Work Experience
My work experience has been a key contributor to shaping my current work ethic and drive. While I was in high school, I worked from my sophomore year until my senior year which allowed me to develop the skills I needed in college to manage both my school work and my extracurricular activities. Below I have listed my two most recent employers and the useful tools I have learned from each one.
Boys and Girls Club of Napa Valley

Skills learned:

While working in childcare I was able to fine tune my multi-tasking skills and my translating skills. A large population of the children and families that were served were low-income and people of color. It was especially important to me as a Spanish speaker to be an advocate for parents and their children when I could.

While working at this ophthalmology and optometry medical office I learned how to professionally communicate with patients, I was able to translate from English to Spanish for doctors, and I obtained more customer service skills.
