Alica Caldera

My name is Alica Caldera and I am a passionate fourth-year college student working towards my Bachelor of Science in Biology. After my undergraduate education, I intend to earn my PhD and pursue a career in biomedical research.

My inquisitive and studious nature along with my biological related coursework and lab experiences make me a competitive candidate to became a researching scientist. This e-portfolio showcases not only my academic achievements, but also my extracurriculars and interests. my hobbies and art skills. Apart from my interest in biological sciences, I am very interested in Latin American history and the health disparities Latinx/Hispanic people face in the United States. For this reason, I am pursuing a Mexican Studies minor to further educate myself on my community and how past history has impacted Mexicans and Mexican-Americans in the present day. In my spare time, I enjoy reading a good book, collecting shells, and cooking.
